Annual Bosco Summer Camp

On Friday last a fun filled week of activity came to a close when over eighty children completed the annual week long summer Bosco Fun Camp at the Abbey Vocational School, Donegal Town. The children experienced a variety of sporting and recreational activities under the expert coaching/teaching eye of nearly forty teachers/coaches/leaders.


A summary of the activities included gymnastics, trampoleening, sportshall athletics, basketball, gaelic football,volleyball, tag rugby, orienteering, dance,art, quiz,board games, badminton, rounders, team building games, McDonalds triathlon, pentathlon and Jamboree, and a trip to bumble bees.


A sincere thank you to all the leaders, coaches and teachers, to camp leader Miss Michelle Harvey and Camp Directors Pauline O'Gara, Mary Doherty and Angela O'Kennedy who volunteered their time ensuring the success of the camp. The Principal of the Abbey Voc School, Mr Emmanuel McCormack for allowing putting the schools facilities at the disposal of the camp also was praised at the concluding ceremony. All the proceeds from the camp will go towards the new sports development nearing completion at the Abbey Vocational School.
