Local Athletes compete in Special Olympic Finals in Limerick


Tír Chonaill Athletics Club wish the following athletes every success in the 'Irish Special Olympic Track and Field Finals' in Limerick this weekend.


On Wednesday mornings during the last eight weeks Aisling Eves, Declan Friel, Anthony Donagher and Marie McGloin have trained and made preparations for this prestigious competition under the guidance of club coaches Peter O’Connor, Ann McGowan and Paul O’Gara aided by AVS transition students Christopher Doherty, Emmett Gallagher and James Flynn.


Ciaran and David Gallagher, both members of the senior section of the Tír Chonaill club completed their preparations on Tuesday night. Both have trained very hard during the past twelve months work under the expert coaching eye of Richard McCarthy and Michelle Harvey .
